MULTIMEDIA

Skilled in numerous areas, Micah also creates in the fields of Drama, Art and Creative Writing. Scroll down to find out more about his work and see examples.

CREATIVE WRITING

With honours in English at secondary level and a wide range of reading material from fiction to academic papers, Micah began writing creatively in his early teens. His material covers poetry, fictional novels, screenplays & plays, academic papers, guides, marketing materials, instruction, RPG’s, short stories, political and social tracts, and more.

Possessing a keen interest in stories, people and the nature of existence, he combines these influences with his ability to communicate in order to construct material that engages an audience.

EXAMPLES
DRAMA

Micah’s experience in drama began with a children’s summer camp where a drama programme was offered. Over the course of the camp he joined other young people in writing skits, creating costumes, and generally learning the skills of the trade.

During high school, he studied drama formally in classes, participating in numerous productions first as an actor, and then later experiencing other roles such as director, technical assistant, stage manager and play writer.

Participating in provincial festivals, he received several awards for acting, and was placed in the top twelve of over a hundred entries in a provincial play writing competition in his graduating year. Micah undertook a few classes in acting whilst at university, which included media relationships and theatre history.

He has continued to develop his skills working with  amateur dramatic groups and substituting for drama teachers at the FE college level when necessary, giving him a broad knowledge of the area.

EXAMPLES
ART

Starting with the attempt to draw comic books in late childhood, Micah developed his artistic skills, first by taking classes at secondary level and then studying various art forms including basic architecture. He mainly works  in pencil drawings – particularly in portrait  and graphic art style, and has often provided drawings of characters and scenes for others to use. Micah employs Photoshop and various other programs combined with scanning technology to realise artistic ideas. He has also developed logos and undertaken graphic design on a local commercial level, and a variety of other engagements designing storyboards, theatre staging and idea pages.
