Micah Sicotte

BIOGRAPHY

 

Micah is an educator, composer and creative individual whose music and creative works have been used internationally for festivals, films and multimedia. He holds a Diploma in Professional Music, a Bachelor degree in Music, a Masters degree in Music and a Certificate of Education in FE & HE.

 

Trained primarily as a vocalist, he plays piano, electric bass, and basic cello. Over the last three decades, Micah has performed in bands, choirs, small groups and solo, with experience in the recording studio. Having studied multimedia, he has worked with music technology, creating music for media which is his special focus.

As a music educator, he has worked for almost two decades teaching music and music technology to a wide range of age groups. He continues to teach both privately and in Further Education (UK).

 

Outside of his primary focus of music, Micah is a creative writer, artist and dramatist. He has self-published numerous projects including plays, screenplays and novels, acted, directed and designed plays and musicals and his artistic works, (mainly pencil and ink drawings) have been displayed locally and used privately for various local marketing endeavours.

Originally from British Columbia, Canada, Micah now lives in Cardiff, UK. He continues to study and work on his numerous creative projects whilst teaching music to a variety of levels.
